From the Principal’s Desk

Dear Friends,

Welcome to M.B. Mahila Teachers Training College, Dungarpur

It is indeed my privilege to be the Founder Principal of the M.B. Mahila Teachers Training College, Dungarpur, A College that imparts top-class education to its students,

to meet the challenges of de-morality in children. In modern time, teachers are more responsibility then parents to cultivate moral values in children.

The importance of education in the life of an individual cannot be overstated. It shapes individuals in their formative years and imbues them with values that would govern all their choices in life. It is said that “If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade,

plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people”. For me, Education does not mean providing answers. It means equipping the pupil with the means to find the answers for himself and within himself. Education empowers students to discover themselves, who they are as people, it means, equip student-teachers with joyful learning,

self confidence and innovative techniques of teaching. My aim is not only to be an able administrator but also to be a friend, philosopher and guide to student-teachers one whom they can count on and trust at all times.

Our aim to develop our student-teachers at different levels by the proper encouragement, guidance, support and generation of in-house recourses for sports, cultural, yoga, etc followed by giving them a confidence to feel free at home. Student-teachers will be given the opportunity to handle responsibilities and also to accept personal responsibility, to acquire new skills and to make decisions for themselves.

Discipline must be based on example and self control because we at this college are involved not in the control of the masses but in individual development for leadership. In an age when leisure is recognized as essential for development, its good use is an indication of a good education. Sporting activity encourages the pursuit of excellence but never at the cost of teamwork. Academic performance is paramount but equally important is the development of the intellect and well-honed skills of communication. We would desire that our student leave this college with an enquiring mind, a sense of social and moral values, a sense of service and compassion for those less fortunate, a respect for nature, tolerance, a sense of humor and the attributes to become good citizens of India and the world.

We are quite self-assured for the molding and nurturing of our student-teachers as a young, bright, dynamic, talented and a responsible gentle citizen by raising the our values and culture through quality teacher education.
